Zero Defect developed an interactive permanent installation for the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, allowing visitors to ask questions of the Museum's founder, Henry Mercer. A touchscreen interface on the front rail controls a video presentation that smoothly transitions between Q&A segments and various "idle loops," in which Henry goes about his workshop business until a visitor engages with him.
A separate touchscreen-driven installation offers virtual tours of the Mercer Museum and the nearby Fonthill Castle. As the tour guide navigates the chosen museum, a dynamic map indicates the current floor and position of the guide, allowing visitors to quickly locate items and galleries they might like to see themselves.
